Celebrating the past, present and future of the legendary Welsh rock band Man who, this week are: Martin Ace, Phil Ryan, James Beck, Josh Ace and René Robrahn.

With roots firmly planted in the fertile ground of the South Wales rock scene, Man were formed in 1968 and, pausing for a brief intake of breath in the late 1970's, continue as a recording and gigging band to this day.

Along the way many have swung their kit bags on board, leapt into their hammocks and joined the ship's crew. Some have stayed, while some have left and several have done both. Repeatedly.

This site contains many articles on the band's history, memorabilia, recorded works and those of the various friends and relations whose paths have been crossed at some point. It's a work in progress and perhaps, now the Forth Bridge has at last received a decent coat of paint, one of the few remaining continuous labours.

For the latest Manband news, mixed in with all the scurrilous gossip, rumour and general tom-foolery, please do come and join us on the Manband Forum (see the Forum link in the left menu).

While the band continues, some elements of its past can never be repeated. RIP: Ray Williams; John Cipollina; Micky Jones; Clive John; Vyvyan Morris. Never forgotten.

Most recently we're saddened to report that Ken Whaley, who graced the band with his lyrical bass playing during the mid-seventies, passed away on May 8th after a long illness bravely borne.
