Title: Carmarthen.
Post by: rockprof on May 01, 2018, 06:10:43 PM
I've been through Carmarthen a number of times now and have been struck by how normal the place seems. Has anyone else been there and failed to observe anything mad going on?

Funnily enough no. Many moons ago I was been filming in the signal box in Ferryside, the previous station, and a train driver misinterpreted my signal to stop and pick me up, Ferryside being a request stop. He did an emergency brake, I had to run along the track with all my gear to board the train, and he gave me a bollocking all the way back to Camarthen.

John Weathers is a Carmarthen fella isn't he?

I almost wee'd on him once. I remind him of that whenever we meet, which unfortunately is now very rare.  ;D

I can only speculate that may be deliberate on John's part.

Rockprof, you've clearly never been in Carmarthen on a Friday night when the place fills up with young farmers all trying to get as much drink on board as possible. It's like the Wild West.

Classic! Best repartee ever on this site ( and the standard is high).

As my laughter subsides, I have a slight sense of deju vu on this exchange. Jules, could you word search the entire site to see if there has ever been a similar exchange ? Its part of the subscription service, as I understand it ?
