If you've taken one of the Manband quizzes (accessible from the Manband Archive's homepage), and wish to query an answer, then here's the place to do it.
The referee's decision is final, even if I'm wrong. Which I'm not. ;-)
Or hardly ever anyway.
If I am, then we'll all be judged by a jury of our peers within this forum.
You know how reliable they are.....

Man Overboard Q19 - What's on the wall?
Maybe after a good curry my internal organs might look like that...
-
Maniacs 2, Q7. Dory Previn and Al Kooper options missing.

Yes Martin, you're not the only one to have noticed Jules's Vomit Fixation...

Very good Jules, something for a rainy day..
Sadly, it's not raining today..
-
It was raining here and you kept me from work, Jules. FANTASTIC QUIZ!!!
-
I've just done the 'Man Overboard' Quiz. Surprising answer to Question 19, serves me right for thinking I'm clever I suppose. Nevertheless.

Like I said...
He did. I also had another look at Maniacs 2 Q20 which I apparently answered incorrectly....
-
Thank you gents. Incorrect entries now corrected, although I still have a wistful fondness for the previous Overboard Q19 answer.
The answer to Maniacs 2 Q20 would have kept you turning in circles for a while, but I decided it was too fiendish even for me.

Nice one Jules. Can I have my points back?
-
Can I have my points back?
Of course not. ::)
How are we to know if you would have got them right? 80% chance of failure and all that. ;D

I respect your decision, Jules.
(pause for dramatic effect, sighs loudly, eyes water, bottom lip quivers....)
I'll....I'll try and be strong.....(exits hurriedly, wimpering)

Jules you need to adopt the Terry Willson Laws Of Pub Quizzing, there's only 2 laws
1 - The question master is always right.
2 - In cases of dispute rule 1 applies.

I thought about that, but figured it would be much more fun to get involved in heated debates about answers in here.
My results speak for themselves (Manboarders 2 - Evil Webmaster 0), so on balance I think that's fair.
It'll keep the stats up too, while we have nothing else much to argue about ;D

... pardon me,i have a quiz dispute: on manfans 3 quiz, question 10 i chose someone other than the "correct"answer.it was my understanding the drummer who is indicated to be the 4th drummer in the quiz was just covering some gigs. is it kind of a trick question ? how many gigs did this drummer do for example? i will happily stand corrected, but i am curious to know how much one more correct answer would add to a score of 60%(i need all the help i can get)-many thanks-davey p.s. please nobody cheat off this but i thought the correct answer started with a b-peace

Not only is that a good point, Davey, it's bordering on the pedantic. You know I like that sort of thing.
The question to which Davey refers is 'Who Was Man's Fourth Drummer'. Not quite as straight forward as it appears, as one of the options given was indeed a stand in and as Davey points out is therefore debatable as to whether he should be included. If he is (and based on what Jules considers to be the correct answer would appear to be the case) then I can further complicate matters (hurrah!) as Nektar's Ron Howden also stood in....in which case the answer would be different again!
Perhaps the question would benefit from rewording, although ultimately I have every faith in the Italian Judicial sytem to find me completely innocent even though I lied to them and tried to stitch somebody else up.
-
True, but Ron only sat in for one gig after Terry stubbed his big toe playing street football. That could've been a whole other question, elsewhere.

you want pedantic? well according to wikipedia technically terry williams could be considered their fourth drummer, but from the information i am privy to i stand by my answer(i'm going to see what that would do to my over all curve, allowing for the variable that i took the quizzes in the opposite order;maniac to bystander)...peace of pie-davey ..... hmm just checked, the answer is not much, even if 5 points were added i still blew that quiz badly(manfan 3) even compared to myself(a drop off in the curve).such as it is ...more peace...
-
you want pedantic?
Yes, I certainly do, Davey. Hot, steamy and gagging for it.
The Nationsounds Judicial System is a market leader of fairness and balance. Mr Gough's quiz question requires strict calculation of the number of drummers. Bletchley Station X is already aware, as is Cheltenham GCHQ and Harper Valley PTA. This calculation is made more complex as there has been two stand ins, Mssrs Martinez and Howden.
I put it to you that it is inconsistent to include Mr Martinez but exclude Mr Howden from this calculation. A stand in is a stand in, the reasons and duration are immaterial. It is my considered view that Mr Gough is guilty of fettering his decisions and furthermore (and on and on and on....)
-
Not so much a disputed answer, more a disputed question.
Manoraks 2, Question 6, 'Who's Intruding'.
Should there be a picture accompanying this question?

Should there be a picture accompanying this question?
Nope.

Nope.
Ohh Jules! How you tease me! How you tantalise me! I am helpless to resist! I am under your spell!
Plus many other glib phrases intended to cover up the fact that I haven't a clue what the answer to the question is... ???
-
Ha, I found this one easy, it's the ones on compilations album covers I can't do.. ..and anything about KON, which I loose interest in..
-
Ha, I found this one easy...
Aaaargh!
How can I look cool, detached and indifferent when I am inwardly seething with frustration? And who put these teeth marks on the desk? Errr....oh...

All questions are easy if you know the answer, and hard if you don't.
Today I sent a colleague a spreadsheet which I'd been working on. I mailed him to say I'd populated it with the latest figures, and I was pretty pissed off when he mailed back asking "is this all a tissue of lies?" I wasted an hour checking my results before realising I hadn't populated it with the latest figures. I'd copulated it with the latest figures. Still can't figure out how I transposed the P and the C.
-
I'd copulated it with the latest figures.
Errrrmmm....ummm....trying to understand this......do you often then smell it afterwards?
-
Where are the quiz questions
-
Is there a prize for answering? ::)
-
Are you asking?
-
He's not telling.. :D
-
Where are the quiz questions
From the Manband Archive homepage, just click on the Quizzes link in the menu.
No more clues after that one though....

All questions are easy if you know the answer, and hard if you don't.
There are things that we know then forget...there are things we never knew in the first place....personally, I find I can't remember the things I've forgotten. Then there are the things that I didn't know I didn't know, except I can't remember them.

Elvis would be so proud of you. ;D

Elvis would be so proud of you. ;D
Yes.
I don't really like to go on about it, but let's face it - Elvis wasn't going anywhere until I was born. It was a shame he then had a difficult second period (1959-1977) but I don't think you can blame me for that....even though many do, I'd imagine.
