...hey my computer has been on the fritz, 130 dollars later and i'm "back, back in the new york groove"-ace frehley...yeah the gig went good.i mean it was fun that is.for the whole night we made 40 bucks:4 bucks for each person who played in the two groups or dj spun.3 of us got 8 bucks...i had taught my friend Gina rudimentarily how to dj spin(sans headphones) and she aced it for her debut as Dj "Elka". we had a nice size crowd for a sunday night.needless to say Man,Deke, and Help Yourself were all spun by me into the early a.m(along with some other stuff)with some good film footage on the screen...  here is a clip from our previous "hit" at Otto's: our last  version of 771 5151 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_tFAf1KQj8&feature=channel_video_title Gila filmed and i filmed in prospect park and she edited it...  been listening to the Micky Jones Tribute cd for the last few days off and on since it's arrived.it's beautiful.i didn't know all these people from the board were into so much musical stuff...still digging it...-cheers,peace-Davey

Everyone; this came out very well. Just got my copies today. I've spun it a couple of times now. No complaints.

I'll put in in the bag for the next one and see what happens.

I was surprised to see that our track was the shortest one on the record.

played Nick's CDTM and our own Violin Thingy on my show today. Quite like that version of CDTM. Some nice ideas. I'll have my show posted by tomorrow. Connection is funky today... maybe due to yet another big snow storm

Thanks to all who took part, supported and donated to this.  Along with Merch from the tributes we raised just over £200 for the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumor Trust.  :)

Well done all, particularly to Mr P for all his hard work in putting the CD together.

From the better late than never dept...got a listen to this this evening...had a feeling I may be amidst talent, great stuff. Not what I expected but pleasantly so. Got me thinking, a dubwise selection of Man riffs would be interesting.....

Hmmm....perhaps a bit like the second part of my version of 'Call Down The Moon' which can be heard on my site here: http://www.nicknation.co.uk/MJones.html

It comes from the Micky Jones Tribute Album which is still available here: https://sites.google.com/site/mickyjonestributealbum/ with proceeds to good causes!
