Mike.

Well's are normally round, with a handle, and thatched or tile roof to stop water getting in(?), and a windlass, and bucket, and rope, and normally full of coins and goblins..

(I've made a small correction to your post, but I won't mention it to anyone..)

Thank you for that Pete, most helpful.  However, I feel it's most ungallant to say that Stevie has 'windlass'.  Does she have a dog she could blame it on?

Blimey, has Stevie had windlass?

I wondered why he always looked knackered when he played for Bradford City.

It's early days, but I've got a good feeling about this thread. After all, we managed 10 pages for the Swansea gig that none of us went to...Jah knows how much drivel we could write for an entire tour.

Oh, wow... the mind boggles.

Rest assured, I'll do my bit. After all, if the thread's being constructed by people who weren't there, then I can hold my head up with the rest of you guys. I wasn't in Swansea, and I'm not in Germany.

Sorted.

Now, where's the t-shirts?

I am pleased to announce that a new range of Man t-shirts will soon be available, Mr Hawk. These will have....

I wasn't in Swansea, and I'm not in Germany. Sorted.

...on the front.

Nice idea, but that may confuse the locals if I wore one ::)
Mind, if I can confuse you lot, why should I worry about the locals?

Seems there is a gig tonight in Bonn. Anyone going? I'm stuck in London tonight with an important meeting tomorrow, so that's me out. Await reviews with interest.

That'll be a "no", then.

At last! A German review:

Germany is a federal parliamentary republic of sixteen states. The capital and largest city is Berlin. Germany is a member of the United Nations, NATO, the G8, the G20, and the OECD. It is a major power with the world's fourth largest economy by nominal GDP and the fifth largest by purchasing power parity. It is the second largest exporter and third largest importer of goods. In absolute terms, Germany allocates the third biggest annual development aid budget in the world, while its military expenditure ranked seventh.

The country has developed a very high standard of living and a comprehensive system of social security. It holds a key position in European affairs and maintains a multitude of close partnerships on a global level. Germany is recognised as a scientific and technological leader in several fields.

So there. I hope you all feel sorry for yourselves. Now then.
