Having spent a couple of years trying to eradicate ground elder from my garden, imagine my surprise to see it being lauded as a very desirable foraged ingredient by the alleged 'best restaurant in the world' Noma. Funny old world.

Karen and I usually have rack of lamb for our Christmas dinner. I don't think there will be any sort of family dinner this year.My sister isn't going to be coming up as far as I know. I tried to arrange a gathering somewhere warm.

We had Thanksgiving with some friends. It was the usual spread, with some grilled salmon on the side. Lots of good wine, and a silly game of Scrabble. Just ate the left overs we were sent home with.
