Hellooooooooooo
« on: January 24, 2011, 04:38:21 PM »
didn't know where to post this, so looks like here'll do ???. I'm Alan from Llanybydder (yes somebody Welsh does actually live there these days!), 57 years old and into all sorts of music and have always been a big fan of Man.
I play the drums (try to), nowt serious just love it and have a Drum World UK jazz kit and started to do a little bit with a local primary school last year for the Eisteddfod and hope to do more this year.
Like the look of this site so I'll go and have a mooch about here................Al. :)

Welshgit? Very descriptive. I'm a moaning Lancashire b*st*rd.

Hello!

What we need to know, is, do you have Kingdom of Noise?  We need to pigeon hole you so we know precisely how you should be addressed.

Which will be determined by who is doing the addressing.

Short of it is, however you reply, some will just tell you to f*ck off, whereas others will embrace you in open arms. Just depends which side of the wall you fall (lyric there anyone?) as to who is doing the embracing and who is doing the f*ck*ng.

I wonder if yu were one of the 13....... ?     ???

x

I used to dream of being a moaning Lancashire b*st*rd. Apart from anything else, it would give me the chance to use a lot of ast*r*sks. As it is, I have to be content with being a sm*rt ars* c*ckn*y w*nk*r. Err...cor blimey gov, that was a handsome tickle and no mistake.

I wonder if yu were one of the 13....... ?     ???

Ha! He might have been one of the three! Which was cancelled.

And greetings, Welshgit. And I don't care what side of the wall you're on. Although I won't embrace you.

Welshgit, welcome.  One of the fundamental rules is that a thread starts off in the correct category, and in the blink of an eye goes off topic.  Worth remembering in case you wonder what's happening.

So then, this concert in the O2 about The Wall...

Have you eaten it in anyone elses life?
Apparently there is a part of Yorkshire that is known as the rhubarb triangle and produces a lot of rhubarb.  Well you wouldn't have expected the rhubarb triangle to produce caulliflower I don't suppose.

I know Kirk was the Captain, but was pardew the new guy who appeared at the beginning of an episode and you knew he was going to get killed / eaten / absorbed by an alien life force?

Live long and prosper.

It's true, although it doesn't go 'ting' so much as 'crump'. Nearby you can also find Crumble Fell and the River Custard. I have it on good authority.

Welcome Welshgit, are you sure you've made the right decision?
Boldly going.......

ta for the welcome folks, it was erm..........different ;D, I think I'll be fine here.............I'm also known as "mad al" :o ;D
Now I have eaten rhubarb, on several occasions and even grow it these days.
I moved up here to Llanybydder from Carmarthen about 12 years ago, now that's only about 20 miles away but man, what a difference. I married my 2nd wife about 6 years ago and we have a daughter who has just passed her grade 3 piano exam so the vibes will survive after I'm long gone ;) we have a small farm that we share with our dogs and pony. My mrs is the cook at our daughters school and a couple of other places and I run the gaff, mainly woodland these days as we ain't no farmers for sure!
We haven't been to any gigs this year, missed Jools Holland in Cardiff in December after getting snowed in ::), not sure what's the plans this year apart from maybe Roger Waters and Glastonbury next year when the mrs is 40 8)

Ah Rhubarb. An excellent topic and one we keep coming back to.
I was amazed to find a prominent display of this excellent vegetable (oh god please let it be a vegetable) in the European Garden in Adelaide. I guess it is good looking if you haven't been staring at a clump at the bottom of the garden for many years.

Bleedin' 'ell....  And Bannon gives me grief....... It's only yer man's 2nd post and he's already given us his life story.   ;D
I think I'm gonna like this welsh git.

But, tread with care. I wonder if he's a spy from Germany sent here to woo us over, infiltrate ranks, then murder the rebellious ones in an axe wielding frenzy.....Beware!!!
