one time me and marin were at the bread and puppet festival in vermont(discontinued),i was 21.we were up late about to play at a campfire with drummers;he had a sax and i had a guitar with a battery amp.it was cold. he gave me a jacket to wear that he had found in the trash,it turned out to be a hippie jacket along the lines of magical mystery tour.i invented a new way to play the guitar(to me anyway) by tapping and hitting on the back of the neck in different rhythms and letting it ring with a chord that i found that night that i slid up and down the neck.i was high for a week after i got home...a few years later i was in school in new york,the jacket was a little tattered but loved.my mom threw it away.oh the pain....then there was a piano at our house.i put a tambourine under the foot pedal and made up a song using the lower keys and upper keys(black and white).the tambourine fit perfectly on this particular piano. it bounced right in rhythms under the back and front of my foot...years later i brought it to new york,then a harrowing trip back to mass. with some lacklustre,fly by night pseudo piano movers who couldn't get it in the house.we had to hire someone else the next day.a few weeks later my mom junked this piano too,relations were strained...well it's all ok now,but i miss the jacket and the piano and my mom-peace p.s. sorry for the lateness in this post(i joined late) and the fact that i haven't figured out how to insert quotes yet,my computer skills are sorely lacking,i hope to improve over time-davey
