Been dusting off my Man stuff. Really like a lot of tracks on Rare Man, but in particular Last Birthday Party has been sticking in my mind. Is that Micky on vocals? (I know I should know that, forgive me) Who's doing backup vocals? That warble really gets to me. I think the version with the bullwhip has more snap to it. Any backround on the lyrics? Was someone at the time stricken with a serious illness? Maybe it's none of my business, pardon me if it dredges up any crud. The song has a hold of me!
