I hear you, Gavin.

...and still the monkey jumps.

The game's over now Colin, time to stop.
Seriously it is.

See you all on 17th when you can either shake my hand or punch me in the face if you want to.
I dont mind.

Until then peace, love and stay free from suffering.

...and Alan (probably the only one here intelligent enough here to realise it was a game and not jump):
Music is not best of all, Love is best of all.
All you need is love.

But as David Crosby once sang, Music Is Love.
It's Just My View

Information is not knowledge
Knowledge is not wisdom
Wisdom is not truth
Truth is not beauty
Beauty is not love
Love is not music
Music is THE BEST........

Ah, that's better - blustery day up here in Edinburgh, and I've just been for a good walk down to the Grassmarket to clear my head. But do you know what? I could STILL hear Gavin.

Thanks Gavin for saying I (and others) are not intelligent, or another way of putting it, thick maybe?

Can't quite work out what Allan has said to confirm his superior intelligence (though I readily accept Allan is much more intelligent than me). At least though, you finally have noted my request to "shut the f*ck up". Hopefully anyway.

Hell, sorry Linds E y, looks like I'm determined to piss EVERYONE off today.

Yeah, how does that Buffalo Springfield thing go?
There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind
I think it's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
What a field-day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
Singing songs and carrying signs
Mostly say, hooray for our side
It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away

Something like that.

I would also like to point out that one of the North of the border contingent is known as 'Allan', not 'Alan'.

17th December.  Me?  I'm happy to shake anyones hand as long as they've washed them after visiting the boys (or girls). room.

Unhelpfully, and apropos of nothing in particular, some friends came over from Glasgow to visit with their chidren earlier this year, and we all went to Edinburgh Zoo. When we got to the monkey enclosure, there was a guy there rattling their cages just to provoke a response, just for his own amusement. He thought it was hilarious the way they all jumped, but we all just looked at each other and with one voice muttered, "Wanker." Luckily the children didn't hear us or notice him, and throughly enjoyed their day out.

To this end could I suggest to Jules that some sort of Archive member review system (a simple 0 - 5 rating, with say a 20 word comments facility) be tagged onto the Manband core catalogue?  This would relieve Jules of the review burden, and enable visitors to the archive to read a cross section of viewpoints.

Well the facility to add comments is already in place on the Archive discography (you should see the Visitor Reviews box at the top of each article, with options to add or view), but the ratings system isn't. I love the idea so will aim to add a 0-5 bananas rating (per person) with the average being shown in each article header and possibly in the menu too. Please don't hold your breath, but I might just get it done before Deke's next book is published.  ;)
