Didn't EVERYBODY vote this the worst Man-related record in the history of the world ever back in one of the hallowed first two dozen editions of TWC?

No other albums. One single, and a cassette edition of the album.

I can listen to it for about two minutes, and then I start wanting to throw the hifi out of the window......

It's a vanity project that offered so much and delivered so little. Actually, reading Peter's (RIP) liner notes probably tells you all you need to know.

IMHO of course.  :P
Boldly going.......

Now Pete, that is not the spirit - somebody might like it and it could be you.

After all, I am a HUGE fan of Brinsley Schwarz who get rubbished all the time (by the ignorant and a soulless) but I persevered and found some great music - for me at least. Oh, and Michael H - he likes the Brinsleys too. And Port Talbot Dai. And our mate Randy Baldwin and his wife Brenda. So there's five Brinsley Schwarz fans at a pinch.

Anyway, I can't be having with all this talk of "haven't got a turntable connected these days". Pah! What's up with folk - I hear this one all the time. When I moved house, the trusty Rega deck and NAD amp were the first two boxes I unpacked - before the kettle even. Which was pointless as I didn't sort the vinyl out for another couple of days, but the principle was there.....

And - I forgot Elvis Costello, who in pre Attractions days famously featured something like eight Brinsleys tunes in his set!!!

I have all their stuff, except for the BBC discs, but there aren't that many songs I claim to like, Ballad Of A Has Been Beauty Queen just might be my favorite.
