Well it's come to something when I'm more interested in the PT and Morton updates than my shower of sh*t away at Pompey!! And we're at home Tues night. I'll be there but I didn't know we were playing but by luck, and I don't know who.  Can't be ar*ed

Anyway, its Sunday, 9.40pm, listening to The Freak Zone, no mention of MJ yet grrr!, done my Sunday night ironing, and I wonder if anybody will be pleased to know, I've glued the snapped crossbar to my subbuteo goal, glued a goalie to his base, and ironed the pitch. Well it's better than bl**d*ng sheds and friggin dandelions.

Rob - a shed is the ultimate sanctuary. Must be wood.  Not plastic or block. Wood.  Can be a bit of brick with wood on it.  Predominantly wood though.  If you have to ask, you won't understand

I think I'm getting the picture. Imagining a shed big enough to have the subbuteo pitch in one corner, and the scalextric in the other. Jeez, you'd never get me out of the place.

Rob, it was intended to demonstrate support and contentment with the potential of the shed scenario you described rather than irritation.  Mind, I was always crap at scalextric, could never get the cars around a bend.

Scalextric is a bit rubbish to be honest. If you're on the inside line, the tail hangs out on a bend and knocks the other car off the track if side by side.

See I'm 4 up on the smite thing. Never had such a positive gap. Yippee! When's it full time?

Forget the scalextric and the subbuteo. Escalado. The horse racing game. With the little iron horses and the handle at one end. Come back from the pub at 3 of a saturday, take the door off its hinges, lay out the track, and place your bets!
