Bah!

'Ee said sheepishly!

That's easy for ewe to say...

Hmmm. That's not what I've herd.

Heard of sheep? Flock off.
I didn't see anything. Signed Jose Fleeceiano.

'Kingdom Of Noise' has been lambasted in certain quarters.

i don't know, can't remember. Probably something along the lines of d'you fancy dressing up in a St Trinian's outfit, ponytails, freckles, and short skirt and regulation wear, navy knickers, though I'd prefer crimson. You can leave the hockey stick out cos you'll beat me up with it.

Enjoy MM, say hello to him from me. Shame I'll be in N'hampton next weekend.  lol and that.

If we're talking about nonsense, or taking the mick, how about the band's entry on "MIck O' Pedia" The Irish Encyclopedia
http://www.mickopedia.org/mickify.py?topic=Man+%28band%29

This is the current Wikipedia article "translated" into "Hiberno-English" (with apologies to our Irish readers)
The translation is carried out "on the fly" - so you get a different version if you revisit, or refresh

A pretty crass piece of Paddywhackery, but you can't fault the detail!

Hockey stick would need to be included why would you need your tin hat otherwise!

I have tickets to see Great Britain with the Brazilians in about a months time. Women's footie.

Hope you enjoy it. I do think ladies footy has come on a bit, and it will be good. Saw Eng v France a few years ago and it was awful. Biggest difference besides the usually mentioned strength and speed was the goalies. Comical. I have been instrumental in setting up ladies teams and in my other life, actively encourage young girls to play the game. When very young, they're better than the boys, but then the boys eventually mature (some longer than others before AH says it ;)  ), and overtake them. Rover, I'd love to hear what you think of the match.

How was it Rover? I watched some of it on TV and it looked good. And the goalkeeping abilities seem to have come on in leaps and bounds.

Rob - I've been following Women's football for a few years now, mainly because of the sucess of Arsenal Ladies and the BBC showing the England home games. The quality has certainly improved over the time I have been watching the England Team on TV.

I thought they were superb last night, and have, over the Olympics, showed some real skill. Steph Houghton (Arsenal Ladies!!) has been fantastic and her goal against NZ in their first match was just brilliant. But the rest of the team have also risen to the task.

A great result and they should beat Canada on Friday (especially if they played like they did Last Night) and be up for a medal. Hopefully Silver, can't see them realistically beating the USA, but you never know.

And then I seriously hope the FA get behind Women's Football and give it proper promotion and the recognition it now deserves. Plus the clubs need to give it a real push and give full support to Hope Powell for the future.

Re: GB vs Brazil. Great match and fantastic atmosphere. Quality of the game was high: spreading the ball about some great vision on the passes etc. Goalies can clear the halfway line these days. 70K attendance and our girls made those Brazilians very grumpy! These Olympics are great. Very much enjoyed the Badminton on Monday too, cheering on Uganda, Sri Lanka i.e. whoever was underdog.
