Heap of crap?

Without wishing to put the forum into a Litigation scenario, I believe this item has appeared before and wondered if anyone had a view as to whether or not it was regareded as valued item?

Neither animal etc, or KON.
Probably too much red wine.  I have no idea what I was on about but could hazard a guess that it may have been something on ebay.

I shall wait for something to happen after some more red and see if divine inspiration comes my way.

Intrigue beyond reason, eh? ::)

PS Animals was an album by Pink Floyd, as was The Wall.  Did I mention...

And still no comment as to the quality, or otherwise, of the box set.

Not so much off topic as never even got on topic :)

It's been discussed before I'm sure but the stuff's largely been available elsewhere on DIME and suchlike.  I think it's only the more recent (sic) show that's not the case.

The track editing is abysmal for one the shows and not much (i.e. nothing) appears to have been done to try to clean up the recordings.

The whole thing's available on Spotify anyway and if you need to listen to this it's probably a more appropriate way of doing so than spending money on the boxset.

I don't mind recycling bootleg material in this way but it does need some care and attention which has always been sadly lacking in most of the material issued via this source.   As an example of a better approach, I'd point (sic) you in the direction of the Effigy discs covering old shows.   Nothing too flash but clear signs of TLC being applied.

Thanks Alan, what you wrote was pretty much what I thought had been written before.

C'mon people, let's off topic ;D

BTW, saw Waters a few times before The Wall tour - did I mention... - and thought that the middle bit (apologies for the techy term) of Dogs really didn't work on stage when the band sat around playing cards and the keyboards had a bit of a fanny around for 5 minutes or so.  I think that was the In The Flesh tour in  the NEC in about 2001.

Re - the Floyd. Unbelieveably I got to work as 'Security when they played at Earls Court and saw the show too many times. I just felt, for me anyway, the boat had sailed for the best of them live and the whole show just left me feeling it was all over contrived and soulless. Had seen them on the Animals tour as well and that left me pretty much the same. Did get to show Kate Bush (hiding in an old flying helmet) and also John McEnroe to their seats. I shouldn't grumble as I got paid as well!
Forgive me my nonsense, as I also forgive the nonsense of those that think they talk sense

the live tracks on the Wish You Were Here sets are far superior to the Animals versions. Rocking, not plodding. I was pleased this was released officially.

Ron, unless I'm having a senior moment, I wasn't aware of an official WYWH release.  Do you have any info / details please?

On the Discovery edition from the Floyd reissues from a couple of years back.  Had a second disc from a live show.

Likewise, Dark Side had a live performance of the piece as well.

You could also just get the single disc or an over the top box set as well
