He complimented the sleeve, but I didn't quite catch what he said about the music.
Anyone?

Not a great album, I'm told.  (Not watched the programme - it's sitting on my Sky+ box)

I really enjoyed the Danny Baker prog (its also available on i-player) last night was the Rock episode so not sure what the rest will be like but at least MAN got a mention for the cover of Be Good to Yourself......even if there was no mention of the music itself. The one thing that did annoy me though was that although mentioning Glam rock often there was no mention of Marc Bolan!  >:(

I used to enjoy Danny Baker when he hosted a R5 breakfast show on weekdays. A breath of fresh air.

I recall one of his topics for people to contact him was gigs held in a pub where nobody was interested.

Yes, you got it, Man got a (dis)honourable mention. Bloke said he saw them at a pub in Leicester, hardly anyone there, and nobody bothered.

As soon as the bloke mentioned Man, Danny Baker said, "ahhhh, Deke Leonard's Iceberg".  I was mighty impressed with that.

The bloke on the other hand, was a first rate tw*t     ;D

Who is motormouth? I presumed you meant it was DB. Because he is a motormouth.

But having just seen it. It was Jeremy Clarkson.

So.... Is Jeremy Clarkson an idiot because he said it started with a siren?

Or do we praise him because maybe he is aware of the relationship between LOTR and a siren

Just watched last night's programme and thoroughly enjoyed it.  Nodding furiously with much that was said, accompanied with some deeply inappropriate thoughts about Kate Mossman whose writing (and picture) I'd enjoyed in the sadly defunct Word Magazine.

My wife thought it was utterly bonkers, of course, but recognised that this was my life she was hearing described on television

I always remember the question about which band who played at Woodstock played at a small pub somewhere in the Midlands the previous night?

It was Canned Heat.

I used to listen to it on my Walkman Radio while travelling to work in London.

You need to have seen last nights, plenty of the Bolanmeister on there.
