....what's needed is a Melodekka solo. It's great.

(cue Augustus Pablo looking very upset, etc)

That's it - all ship, shape and Bristol fashion.

Cue German-sounding version of Queen Victoria saying "VR not amused"

.....Bristol fashion.

Ho!

....."VR not amused"

Even better!

Rob (and any other fans of heritage transport out there in your closets) - I do have a vague idea (no change there then) of doing some sort of promotional daftness with a friend's Routemaster in connection with the release of 'The Unfinished Dinphonies' next month. I would have thought running backwards and forwards between Rough Trades East and West by a variety of routes through Central London with a nice 'little' (ahem) sound system belting out the CD might be quite relevant. Could also be an opportunity to meet up with some of our fellow Manboarders in bizarre circumstances. And I could give a guided tour! Could take in relevant Man related haunts, The Roundhouse, Strand Adelphi....

Is anybodies fancy getting tickled, or shall I just shut up?

Nationsounds - the label that brought you Shake The Nation and raised £1,500 in memory of Micky...

Will you have a suitably animated DJ...like Murray the KSW?

..wish I hadn't started this..

MH, did you have a good time? See you got a result today..
Rob, like the cover, any samples of music anywhere, My-space?
Virgin places don't mean a thing to people who never bring their hearts along.

Thanks Pete - all seems a very long time ago now!

The reason I'm ageing rapidly are weekends like this last one.

Saturday
am - Shopping.
pm - To Guildford to buy daughter computer - out of stock so 60-mile round trip to Portsmouth.
eve - Gig depping in a party band playing their real bass player's surprise 50th party.

am - Back to Portsmouth as daughter bought wrong computer.
pm - Rehearsal with occasional local band (Gene Clark, Johnny Rivers, utterly obscure US singer/songwriters!).
eve - Drive daughter back to Bromley in storm conditions with computer.

Now - totally sh**ged!  :o

MySpace has only a brief acoustic guitar demo instrumental which will have changed beyond all recognition by the end of next week. I shall have time to finish off some recordings as the band is not rehearsing. Just as well, for I wouldn't want to be branded a slave driver after MH's harrowing weekend report. (MH is our new bass player..like none of you knew already).

Fear not Pete - I am too much of a media-whore to NOT tell you when any samples are ready!!!!
