Yep - I've been in Norfolk since '83, but out in the sticks, not in "the big city" as some older locals call Norwich
I used to go to Cambridge or Southend to see the band

Brilliant! Lovely part of the world.

More important than going to Cambridge or Southend to see the band.

And much more important than going to Norwich to see football.

I wonder if your out in the sticks is Snetterton. That's my accommodation sorted !!   (only joking matey  ;D )

..I know north norfolk quite well, Wells next the sea to be precise, my dad was born and grew up there before joining the RAF for the war..
Virgin places don't mean a thing to people who never bring their hearts along.

This may or may not be true, but I heard Wayne Rooney unsuccessfully tried to name one of his racehorses 'Norfolk enchants'....

I heard that someone tried to name a horse 'wear the fox hat'.

I have no idea if it's true or the naming was succesful.

Another 'interesting' fact. I had two front teeth knocked out in a boating accident on the Broads, not the type you hear about in American gangster films, in 1976.

Gangsters may have been a safer option.

More connections to Norwich than I thought there would be. It's a small world innit?

Though I believe there is somebody here who has a connection with the city of canaries, and mustard, but is keeping his bushel under a light. :)

My early bands (Shake The Nation, The Ital Selection etc) were based in Norwich.
Nationsounds - the label that brought you Shake The Nation and raised £1,500 in memory of Micky...

Correct. But as you're the man, you should know :)

More important, did you have a subbuteo team in Norwich colours? I did!

Was "The Ital Selection" based on the Marina?
