..was expecting to see Fulham mentioned!!..
Praying I expect - as am I but for the mighty Gulls.
Bazzer the Gull... hope you're there tonight. Enjoy the match. I'll be lying on the settee listening to match commentary, nnnnnervous. Looking forward.
If you are going, sorry, but I think with no fit forwards, and 4-5 players out, we'll be going for the draw. Unlike us now, but no alternative. Knill Out! Oh, he's gone
Epic encounter with winner at the death inspiring hopes of the great escape. Euphoria in excess. Salient points:-
1. Bury lacking firepower up front - had one chance all game which they took the rest was off target. Ditto Torquay though we had two chances. To be fair our opener was extremely well worked.
2. Ref liked his yellow card - very free and easy with it and poor overall.
3. The first 20 minutes from the Bury keeper was highly amusing - he lost the plot and with Charles C on his back speculation was rife that the C stood for Chaplin.
4. Lowest gate of the season 1,700ish with 74 Bury fans.
5. Tension amongst the home fans, very, very nervous for obvious reasons especially after Bury equalised.
6. The real ale in Boots and Laces actually was spot on for once.
7. Torquay played with real spirit which was great to see but keeping up that intensity for 90 minutes is nigh on impossible and we need a striker or two to get the goals we need together with the endeavour.
8. A home game last Tuesday, beat Rochdale 2 -1, a game tonight and Newport at home on Saturday stretches the finances of Gulls fans - Torbay is anything but affluent.
9. Hope springs eternal.
10. Come on you Gulls!!!!
