Received my copy at the weekend and am "chuffed" with it. The strange thing is that although I attended one of the nights, I have absolutely no recollection of seeing any of the support bands as indicated on the enclosed poster!

Perhaps the legendary Jesus gave you that tab of Purple Haze!

Not a proper full review, but I'll just say it is FANTASTIC!

The packaging is everything we've come to expect from this amazing reissue campaign, right down to the folded poster of the Man family tree that was included in the original album.

I've only yet listened to the first extended disc so far, I blasted it at club level to get the full experience.  The sound is stellar.  Quite a charge to hear the band introduced at the beginning of Let the Good Times Roll, and then to hear the unedited segue into 7171 551.  Nice callout to Will Youatt at the beginning of C'mon.

Full and repeated listening planned for this weekend!

Just listened to it all for the first time.  Truly outstanding - the sonic criticisms of the original album more than dealt with, and the full live set is outstanding.

Great playing from everyone but especially Terry Jones  ;)

Just coming to the end of disc 2.  I though I'd pretty much heard all the variations on the songs, but C'mon had many new parts to me.  Great so far; I hesitated buing it to start with wondering why I should want more of the stuff that I already had. Wrong!

tell me please what songs from the DVD are in the new CD.
I only know Let the good times roll and Born with a future are not the same versions.

...ok,I would say that the "Born with a future" on the 3rd CD of the box set is from the movie.also "7171 551",and "Babe I'm gonna leave",and half of "C'mon" from the 2nd CD.I don't know if "Let the good times roll" from the original album(CD 1) is from the movie off hand(can't listen at the moment).great sound all around-peace&cheers...

The discs are quite good in a sort of good way, but the whole package for me, was overtaken by the beauty and sheer majesty of the sleeve notes.  Who wrote them?

Just me then?  8)

Nah, just joking, it sounds great.

I like it a lot. Original vinyl album left me feeling a bit flat but this does nothing of the sort. Well done to all concerned. :)
