If one is being pedantic then it's actually Euan Kerr, which has the delightful feature of hiding the gag a bit more.

Think he's no longer the editor having left DC Thomson.   Not sure about any other personal attributes though.

Many years ago in Southend there was a Chiropodist with the great name of William Trotter!!

And talking of Shatner - Boston Legal is currently being reshown on Universal TV (for those with non terrestrial viewing) Brilliantly funny series about a team of dysfunctional lawyers in Boston USA with Shatner, James Spader and Candice Bergen.
