Am i right in thinking that you are from Barry originally.
If so did you know Mick Williams who apparently was from Barry also.
As you would have seen Mick died in London on the weekend on his way to the Putney gig, having travelled down from Scotland.
A wonderful person and a great manfan.will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Blimey Steve, with that subject title, you had me worrying then. I thought Bazzer the Island had gone!!

Chatting with Gina last night (you and Dawn got honourable mentions - well not so honourable for you  ;D ), and we mentioned Mick Williams.

It appears you knew him well. I wondered if he was the chap you were referring to last December, having come down from Edinburgh

I didn't have the pleasure of meeting him (knowingly anyway), but he sounds a top fella.  Very sad news, and not to be taken the wrong way, but hopefully it's seen as a decent way to go, on the way to a Man gig, in other words enjoying life right to the end.

No
The person i was on  about was a bloke from  Scarborough who  was meeting Alan Heron.
I got it wrong when the hotel owner said that someone from scotland had been delayed.Who was of course Mr Heron.
With regards to Mick im sure you probably saw him at some point.
He used to turn up at Man gigs and help backstage.

Much missed. But a better way to go would have been on the way home from a Man gig!

No Steve I misspent 11 years growing up in Cardiff and have always remembered the sceptred isle with fond memories e.g. it was where I got served my first pint in a pub ever etc etc Never met Mick but he sounds like a top guy and sad to hear of another keeper of the faith passing. Off to see Torquay United play Braintree now as we desperately fight to avoid relegation. Won 4 on the trot so thinking positive. Accompanied at the match by my old mates Russell Hobbs and Wayne Kerr.
Forgive me my nonsense, as I also forgive the nonsense of those that think they talk sense
