Manband Archive database code upgrades

As part of ongoing background maintenance, during the past few days all the Manband Archive's database code (there's quite a lot of it) has been upgraded from using MySQL modules to using PHP Database Object modules. This is a pre-emptive measure as at some stage in the relatively near future (IT release time moves more like geological time than real time) the MySQL modules in PHP are being deprecated.

At this point the Forum pages are not affected.

If you're wandering around the Archive and spot any pages behaving badly, please do let me know about it.

I wonder what Oakers and Mike M think of this?   

As for me, well Jules, I've been telling you for ages that you should not be using MySQL modules, and that they should be upgraded to those PHP Database ones, because as you say in your last line, they just aren't appreciated.
