Nektar guitarist Roye Albrighton has left us. Very sad news.

Indeed. A fighter to the end I believe. Another highly formative influence gone too soon.

I liked Nektar...a lot. Regret missing the gig they did at the Patti. I found more similarities between Man and Nektar than Man and QMS. We have had this conversation before .

Was on their mailing list until either it vanished, or they vanished me.  Sad news about Roye. Hurts that little bit more when it's one of our own.

I wonder if their Nellie the Elephant was related in any way to our Kangaroo

Coventry Kid. Born not too far from me. Met him at the Robin 2 about 7 or 8  years ago. We have/had a mutual acquaintance.

Indeed very sad and I was just checking out some of my Nektar albums the other day.

Andy, our keyboard player in the days of the Urban Spaceman had a Moog that once belonged to Roye. I could never establish whether he bought it directly or via a (or various) third parties. I don't think he really knew!
