Annual purge of inactive members - coming soon
« on: May 05, 2017, 11:45:49 AM »
Each year I tidy up the Forum members list to remove those accounts which have not been accessed for two years or more.

That time is fast approaching. If you know anyone who has been a forum member who has not visited us for a considerable time, but who you think would like to retain their membership, please let them know.

Anyone who gets removed can of course create a new account, assuming they can answer our fiendish pre-check questions correctly.
Boldly going.......

Jules,
Site has the Man gigs on the scroll, but not Son of Man. Any objection to adding them ?
I think us Manoraks go to more SoM than Man gigs, there have been more of them, for a start!

I shall celebrate becoming Sister Member by announcing I will still be here. And Rob, I feel your pain....

Yes. Quite simply, and without intending to spark any conflicts, Son Of Man are not Man. George is doing a fine job of promoting SOM activities on various other pages around the internet.

The purge is still pending at the moment. I'm likely to do this at the end of May, which I hope will have given everyone enough time to login again, even if it's just the once. There's no need to post, the login will be {ahem} logged. At a rough estimate we'll lose around 60 members this time, several of which are pseudonyms of people who still post regularly (including one of mine).

Perhaps the saddest part of the job for me will be deleting the forum profiles of several people in, and close to, the band who we've lost. I couldn't face it last year.

Yes, thoughts with you Jules on that. And thanks for continuing to keep our dwindling band of apocalypse survivors (copyright Deke) connected.

Getting together win Colin S tomorrow in Edinburgh, will raise a glass to Manfans past and present.

Me n Her are tomorrow getting together with Allan H in Glasgow.

Maybe when we get out of bed, we should have a mini Welsh Convention in Scotland  :)

Veteran journalist and self will be in various Edinburgh pubs on Monday and Tuesday evenings if you and her and Heron are at a loose end, RW.

Does that mean you and Mr. H are sleeping together Rob (just reads that way)

Pete, refer to Mr H's post. He was "getting it together" with Colin S. If it's good enough for them it's good enough for us. As it happened, me n her decided to do a mini tour of the lower highlandy bits, Loch Lomond, Loch Long and surrounding area. My most excrutiating toothache made for a hellish drive back so did its best to ruin things for me, but didn't. Arrived home after 3am this morning, and emergency dental appointment at 11am leaves me with an armful of antibiotics and stuff. Commiserations to Allan and the Jags
