Great memories. The Oystermouth Rd experience was as much a part of the JBO's (remember that phrase?) as the gig.

Clearly remember Dec 1999, our first JBO and first visit to Oystermouth Rd. Hideous 7 hour plus journey, late for the meet at the Wetherspoons on Wind St, greeted by the landlady, introduced myself, she immediately said "you can stay if you want but we've just been broken into and there'll be no breakfast tomorrow".  The setting had been well and truly set for the next Jeez knows how many years. Perfect.

Rob - The article makes mention of "all weathers". You will remember the walk back along the Oystermouth Road on that first JBO. Yourself, Mr Heron and I were savaged by the wind and rain from the Bristol Channel on the way back from the Railways men's club.

And it is still the only gig I have ever been too where the encore was delayed so they could draw the raffle!!!!

Also - didn't we all meet up in the pub mentioned in the article for one of the Patti gigs a couple of years later. Prior to going for a curry in the converted church just up from the Patti - still a surrealistic experience.

Those Jolly Boys Outings certainly were an experience and I won't mention the tapes you lent to one of the Neil's (Shit - I just did :-[ )
