Gentle Giant
« on: January 13, 2018, 10:50:57 PM »
Found myself in the magazine aisle in a local Tesco Notsosuperstore when a magazine caught my eye. Called Prog I had not come across it before and the cover had the Giant from the band's first album on the cover. Inside was a really nice article focusing on the band's first 4 albums. The Shulman Brothers and Kerry Minnear had all got together in Portsmouth to be inducted into the Hall of Fame there. Lots of great pictures - bugger me the oldest Shulman is over 80 now. Certainly doesn't look it! Great band and highly recommended article. Pugwash is praised for his part in developing the band's sound. Well worth buying if this is news to you and you are a fan of the band - they were superb imho.

Excellent free CD in that issue to. Many great bands I'd never hitherto heard of. No GG though!

It was rather cheeky of them to use the Giant on the CD but as you say some decent tunes and a the article made up for it.

Somehow ‘could’ was deleted from the above comment.
Spooky....as is the fact we are in the wrong thread entirely!
