Gary Duncan - RIP
« on: July 04, 2019, 07:56:05 PM »
There's reports on the web that Gary Duncan, QMS, passed away last Saturday, 29th June, 2019.

Aged 72, he apparently had a fall, followed by a seizure and fell into a coma.

Sad news.

RIP legend of the West Coast music scene.

Hi Tel. Not a fan of QMS at all. Purchased one of their albums many moons ago because, well it's what a Man fan (hate that phrase) had to do. Did an Oakers in tried listening to it many times, but didn't get it. And still don't. That said, sorry news.

Rob, there's Quicksilver and there's Quicksilver. I think the first 2 albums ('Quicksilver' and 'Happy Trails') are just great. To be honest I like most of them, but not 'Shady Grove' as much. Which album do you have?

Gary Duncan was a great guitarist, and he and Chippo played well together, but he will always be known as 'the other guitarist'.

RIP Gary.

Gold and Silver re-united. Sad ...the two Guitar Slingers can battle it out in the stars now.
