Crossroads Oktober 2020
« on: October 12, 2020, 09:28:18 AM »
I just followed the link on the scrolling banner at the top of the forum. Evidently we have missed the live-streamed event but there are photos, interviews & a performance of "Many Are Called But Few Set Up" (sic)

Muchas gracias.
I am skimming through it and will try and watch it all tomorrow.Obviously the film quality is excellent  --probably the best we have seen in 45 years or so.
Josh Ace seems to feature a lot more prominently and he seems to play all the fiddly difficult stuff on C'mon..I saw Man in Germany some years ago and either on that occasion he was well down in the mix or whatever but he sounds on great form in this vid.I can't believe it is the same Josh.
The vocals are ,let's be honest, disappointing at times sometimes sounding fairly flat.
James and Josh's guitar work on Romain is superb.
Man works better with a keyboard player-no doubt about that..so when they tour again will they have Malcolm or someone else with them. Not sure
Martin is Martin,74 years old I believe and all credit that at his age he is still getting out there.
Obviously it's not Deke+Mickey+Terry+Phil etc etc but I would love to see them live again

So,I have returned to this video.Spunk Rock is just outstanding. There is a long new(well, new to me) intro.
Thos two fellas can certainly play guitar-- I am smoking a bit of herbal tobacco while listening

From memory this is pretty much the setlist they played on the last UK tour without Malcom's contributions including "The Ride and the View" which he has now made his own.
