2022 - UK Spring Tour dates just added
« on: January 03, 2022, 07:39:01 PM »
See the whirly scroller thingy.

Please check with the venues to see what their ticketing arrangements will be, as numbers may be limited.

Also check before travelling that the show is still on because circumstances, as we know, will get you every time.
Boldly going.......

More 2022 dates added, a few dates re-scheduled or re-located,  and one dropped.

Please check with the venues to see what their ticketing arrangements will be, as numbers may be limited.

A reminder also to check before travelling that the show is still on.

Boldly going.......

We (myself & my somewhat reluctant wife :))) are going to see Man at The Beaverwood Club in Chislehurst on Tuesday the 8th March. Is anyone else going? Does anyone know what The Beaverwood Club is like? I'm guessing it's not a seated venue. We were spoiled as the last time we saw Man was at the Stables in Milton Keynes. There was a time when I would push my way to the front & stand for the whole gig but with age & sciatica I now prefer a seat wherever possible.

There were seats at tables at the Beaverwood. It's a pleasant venue in working man's club style. The audience was small (80 or 90 maybe 100 tops) but appreciative. They played the Big Five or maybe that should now be the Big Six to include Malcolm taking vocals on "The Ride and the View". Josh looked more comfortable than when I have seen him on previous gigs. James Beck is a great guitarist. Martin joked to the effect that if every bloke in the audience had brought a woman they would be minted. He also observed that some of the audience were even older than him.

I'm not sure what the economics of them doing small gigs like this might be but hopefully it's profitable/enjoyable enough for them to want to continue doing them. This was the last of four gigs in the UK this Spring & they have a similar number this autumn.
