Tried to get an image along with my user profile, failed badly. I'm looking for help again....

Press the Profile link in the bar at the top. In the Modify Profile section on the left hand side, click Forum Profile Information. Select I will Upload My Own Picture, and use the Browse button to select the image file on your local PC. Press Change Profile at the bottom of the screen. Done (hopefully).

Probably my incompetence, but until TWC arrived, I had forgotten all about the Leicester gig at the Musician.

Shouldn't we have 'sticky topic' at the top of General Discussions that lists all the band's currently confirmed gigs?

I always check the banner on the archive home page before entering the forum.

I'm thinking about repeating the giglist scroller on the Forum homepage.

OK - thanks for that.  I think that it would be more readable without the linefeed between the date and the venue. IMHO.

Nice One, Jules - a good idea, Mark.

Nationsounds - the label that brought you Shake The Nation and raised £1,500 in memory of Micky...

I think I'm logged in!

I think so too. You can't post (I hope!) without being logged in.

I can actually.
Maybe I'm permanently logged on!?

Maybe you are - in case you once clicked "yes" in a pop-up-window, asking if you wanted to be logged on permanently.

The scrolling list worked OK when there were only a few gigs but, now there is a big list and multiple bands, it is a real pain to catch a particular gig, or to see the big picture of the tour(s).

I think that the scrolling list should be retained as an eye catching advert for the bands, but I still believe that we should have a 'sticky topic' at the top in addition with all the gig information in an easily readable/printable/cut&paste-able form.

All of a sudden I have a burning desire for the 'ignore user' facility to be implemented.

Mixed feelings on that score. For me, the people whose views I disagree with often contribute some of the more interesting posts. Given the 'ignore list' seems to be configurable by each person it's not a horrible solution. Let me know if you're serious about this (no smileys in the quoted post to allow me to detect any wink factor) and I'll look into it further. Unless it's me you're planning to ignore, which would of course be a different matter entirely.  ;)
Boldly going.......
