Just got back from the gig, it was awesome!!!

When I shut my eyes it was like being a student again back in the seventies, but shock horror when I opened them the room was full of old folk, but the music is still great,
I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me will write a more comprehensive review, all I can say is that it was a great night of music and even though Man are missing some members (from the past) I felt the show still had the feeling and vibrancy of old, a small venue with a low ceiling, a loud PA and a sweaty audience, what more can you ask for

I'd like to thank Mike for organising this gig, and the Weekly News for publicising it otherwise I would not have seen Man, and I'm looking forward to seeing another of my favourite bands on September 1st in Cardiff,
Nektar

I'd just like to re-inforce that view. An intimate venue, reminiscent of (if slightly smaller than) its counterpart at Sutton FC.

A good show, and with this being the third date most of the cobwebs had been blown away. Slight revisions to the setlist sequence* from Wednesday night. No spoilers allowed in this post, but at least one classic Manband song was given a really great airing tonight.

James Beck's guitar playing was superb, and more than confirmed that this lineup will go from strength to strength. All we need to do is club together to buy him a delay pedal  ;)

Review to follow. Photos from tonight not so hot, but we'll see what a bit of electronic wizardry can salvage.

---------------------

* Correction. I've double checked my notes, and the setlist was the same both nights. Thankfully the hard-copy memory is more reliable than the short-term wet memory.

Certainly, although I only really wanted to claim the foot. The rest of the body looks as though it belongs to some grubby middle-aged porker who couldn't possibly be me.
