I don't know if anybody has had a look at the statistics for this forum.

The most shocking one is the male to female ratio...  :o

Well women just don't get it do they. How many females have you met who have invited you back to their gaff to view their vinyl collection. Might have a bit of Mud, Osmonds, David Cassidy, definitely Abba need I go on.
I'm always reminded of meeting up with Rob W. at the Kite Club watching Man, I thought he was with his daughter, turned out to be his latest conquest. She was obviously from a period in time where the longest record in her young life was a maximum of three minutes. Man started up with a twenty minute plus redition of Ride and the View, in that time she had half of lager and about three Barcardi breezers. Come to think of it didn't see her much after that......school bell must have rung.

Now, now. I'm sure Rob qualified as 'Extended Play', at the very least...  :P

Poor Rob.
Hang on - lucky Rob would be better. If we all could, we would.
Still, that won't stop me suggesting a few tracks for a Rob compilation:

Y Trwynau Coch      Merched Dan 15
Rory Gallagher  Cradle Rock
The Queers    I Like Young Girls

I think I can just manage the trois...

Well, if there are 152 board members, a ratio of 24:1 means there are 6.3333333333333333333333 who are female  ???

All this talk of the female gender brings to mind an interview I saw with P J Harvey.

She was born into a hippy family and her parents album collection consisted of the usual fayre - Zappa, Dead, Beefheart etc.

When she was growing up she hated it all and rebeled by buying Duran Duran, Spandau's etc (Bands I actually like thanks to having a younger sister  :-[ )

Needless to say said 'rents (see I know all the trendy speak) were horrified. However on or about her 14th birthday she had a sort of Road To Damascus revelation and suddenly realised how great this collection was.

Mind you the first Mrs Willson had the usual collection of dross (actually it was worse - at the age of 20 she was already lost to Barry Manilow and David Soul) when we first moved in together - so imagine my surprise when I found amongst it all a copy of the Fotheringaye album - which she loved and at the time was sadly missing from my Vinyl collection.
