Davey, Besides the music being good the artwork for the album cover is excellent and well worth having in it's own right.
On a different subject, you need to put up your email address on your entry into the forum. You could be sent music and other images connected to Man, that would help spread the word of Man on the other side of the pond....

...hmm there is someone bidding against me.they're fighting me every step of the way.how much is this album worth in dollars? i.e. any recommendations on how high i should go?this other bidder may be a lunatic.i don't know what lengths they'll go to to get this record.we're already up to 20 dollars.the blood is in the water.i've got to come up with a limit for myself or it could get ugly...i have a few different emails. one is: winterdavey@yahoo.com. i would love to receive rare music and images of Man for example.lay it on me;i'm ready...peace and thanks-davey

Davey, it's worth what you're prepared to pay! Its a great album, but I don't understand the fixation with vynil. CD version, with beware the shadow is ?12.99 post free (about $18). OK, you get the bigger picture..
Is that you with 18 bids?

...yes i have come to accept the limitations of vinyl, chiefly when the record gets warped or has a bad scratch.i actually have the cd of this.i just bought it last week because i thought i wouldn't find the vinyl(there is a help yourself fan in an east village record store).but i am left wanting, not looking at the big beautiful picture and any other notes that may have been included in the original while i listen;something to do with the ambience of the whole thing.and if the record is in good shape and the needle is good,i'm more than happy.i also feel when records are remixed in the switch to cd the sound is not always improved...i also have the return of ken whaley on cd,but again the picture is just too small and i don't think it has the original notes(although the notes that are there are nice)...yes i think i bid 18 times because the other person's maximum bid was set at $27.50...i must go check and see how i'm doing...peace...

You don't lose any liner notes on the CD. But it is a rare artifact and one well worth owning. Be prepared to pay a lot more than $27  for it.  I suspect it'll sell for over $100. I bought two when I had the chance back in 1973. I thought about selling the spare but the guy I was dealing with never offered me what it was worth.

The Record Collector book price is ?50 which is $80 for a mint copy.
Usually too low.

I never go by the Record Collectors price, who ever compiles it, is living in world separated from reality. Davey I agree with Ron. S. your going to pay a lot more than 27 dollars for this, well worth having though. Just in case you get the American Lottery up tonight here's something else.....best of luck with your bids....http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HELP-YOURSELF-2-x-vinyl-LP-BOX-SET-Return-of-Kev-Whaley_W0QQitemZ190366685257QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Records?hash=item2c52bd1849

Oooooh I nearly went off on a RC rant there but have cooled down now....

$90 for a VG copy - not bad.
