Gavin. My apology is offered, and I hope you'll accept it.

I take no issue with your decision not to continue supporting Man, that's a matter of choice and preference.

Actually Jules its a matter of principle and humanity. It also has nothing to do the statement. It has to do with the apalling way in which Martin has treated and continues to treat Micky Jones and George Jones. When you've worked with someone for 35 years and they become seriously ill in my book you just dont treat them or their families like that.

Maybe you're all happy to live with that as long as you can still have your Manband but I'm not.

BTW You're wrong about Kingdom of Noise Allan. It sounds the way it does because of Martin and Phil. They rubbished every idea George and Bob put forward in the studio. I've heard the songs George wrote for Kingdom of Noise and they are radically different to anything on the released album. If George and Bob had been allowed to have an equal input in to the album it would have been a lot different.

Yes, I too am more inclined than before to find the Inn at Lathones - but the price really sticks in my unemployed no-income craw. ?24 is a lot, and I think at least ?9 more than any other venue on this tour. It's great that they're playing Scotland again at last, but at some cost to the fans!

If you do decide to go, get your ticket direct from the Inn.   No booking fee!!   (if you use their online option, it's an extra ?2.40)

30 People at Southend last night to see the Martin Ace Band. I guess a lot are being put off by the strong aroma of cooked goose!

Gavin, this is Man, not the Martin Ace Band. It even says so on the posters (check the related Gallery if you're in any doubt). In my opinion, you really do need to get your head out of your arse now.

If you can't support the band that's fine, but at least try to keep up with the real world.

Jules, Gavin doesn't see the posters - you have to go to the gigs to see them. You can't blame him for not knowing that.

From a marketing point of view, is it not a bit worthless having to go to the gig to see the posters advertising the gig?   :)

I included a poster shot in the gallery attached to the gig review, in case anyone who couldn't make it wanted a look.

It includes the band's name, and the names of current members (for avoidance of doubt). No pictures though.
Boldly going.......
