Well, at least he had the decency to apologise ;-)

...hmm, there has been a stigma on drummers in terms of perception of musical knowledge(i.e. the "who are those people you always see hanging around the musicians?:drummers" joke , but there is another saying:"a band is only as good as it's drummer";drummers hold it down in so many ways...on another note, the person who gave me a lift(one Roy)sent me a pic he snapped that i had forgot had been taken(how could this have been?); a photo of me with one of the masters:Tweke... :)

I've always heard:
A good drummer converts a mediocre band in a super-band.
And I think that's true.

Davey, glad to see you. You looks very hippy.  :D

Davey - just wondering how you got on with warm English (Welsh) beer?  It looks as if it's going down ok.

I expect you've heard of John Major - Google his comments on warm English beer.  Mind, for someone who was Knocking off Edwina Curry who I guess he thought was 'hot'...

i kind of wished i airbrushed myself out of that one,not a great picture of me.i spent most of the day with my coat on because when i got in to the cottage where i was staying and opened my bag,i realized i had forgot to bring my proper jacket.another tragic thing about my existence is that at 39 i still don't know how to tie a tie.

the beer was fine.i think i only had one authentic one(out of three)because the person who treated me to my first didn't want to shock my system, and got me something american. i think i reacted by buying a stella.the third i think was english or welsh.then i was whisked out of there(to catch a train) before i said anything blatantly stupid...to end on a serious note :that was the most beautiful funeral and wake i have ever been to.i have only been to three, my grandparents and my beautiful mom's(which was a travesty).thank you for making feel it wasn't wrong for me to show up,i appreciate that-love and peace-davey... and Peace Micky, your music will be in heavy rotation this spring and summer(and after)...

Hello everyone, this is the message I hoped I'd never have to write.

It is with great sadness that I bring the news that my wonderful father Micky Jones passed away peacefully today at 12 noon.

I would like to thank you all for your support through the years, letting dad, his talent and music into your lives.

I would also like to thank you all for your support during his illness.

Let us celebrate this wonderful life and the fantastic memories he has brought us, I was so proud of him as a father and as a performer.   To share a stage with him and be part of that legacy is one of the proudest moments.

I will miss him, as im sure we all will  :'(

God Bless,

George Jones
My heart felt sympathy goes out to you, your family and friends. I was lucky enough to get into Man in the early 70's and I had the privilege of seeing Micky and the boys playing The Roundhouse, The Fairfield Halls, and Hammersmith Odeon amongst others, also with the Flying Pigs at the Tunnel Club. He?s of my favourite musicians. Thanks Micky. Great to see you keeping the music alive, George. I enjoyed the 100 Club gig ? was it really two years ago?

That's a rather obtuse reference.

That's a rather obtuse reference.
I thought it was pretty acute, even if not quite right.
