My thoughts and sympathies go out to you and your family.
I feel honoured to have seen Micky play live, both solo and with the Man band.
He brought a great deal of enjoyment into many peoples lives.  Its no understatement to say he will be greatly missed.  :-[ :-[

Deepest sympathy to you and your family George. I first heard the guitar playing of Micky Jones on October 23rd 1973. I have never forgotten that night and his playing, particularly live, has amazed and inspired me to this day. Carry the flame onward with pride George.

George, my sincere condolences to yourself and the family. There wasn't a greater player nor gent. Thats all I can say at the moment.

So sad to hear of your loss George. Mickey will be sorely missed. Very very sad, your father brought me hours of listening pleasure since the seventies. A true great and lovely man.

Impossible to add to what's already been said. A God-given talent who's even now, as George said, having a whiskey and a joint 'up there' somewhere...which is infinitely preferable to his recent existence.

Why didn't they take Phil Collins? Well, they've already got enough drummers - but there's only one Micky Jones.

George,

So sorry to hear your sad news.

I was fortunate to see Micky with Man several times over the years and those gigs will always hold special memories.

Stay strong!

Just learned the very sad news down here in Australia.

However inevitable this should one day come to pass it still hurts.

For me Micky Jones was the Heart & the Soul of the Manband. Thank heavens I was able to see him live in various incarnations of Man during the years I lived in Britain.

Heartfelt condolences to the Jones family.

Micky Jones RIP.

Just saw Tony's posting on facebook and had to rush over hear to get the news... what a shock, maybe not that it was unexpected but shocking nonetheless... I am speechless but still typing, terribly sad... now its all but the memories and a lasting legacy that will surely grow in legendary status... cueing up BITF tonight, I need c'mon with the gwalia choir... God Bless You George and GOD BLESS MICKY JONES.
