from Deniz Tek...

Ron,

So sorry to hear this... much sympathy to you, his other friends, and
family. It's all too often, that we lose good people these days.

Best,

Rover just emailed me the news here in Norway having atypically not checked the board yesterday...a message we've been expecting, but still a shock and I'm gutted reading all your messages... :'(

Takk for alt (thanks for everything), Micky...

Very sad news, Micky was a giant among men and guitarists, and a constant musical backdrop to my life. I'm sure his music will be kept alive in your playing.

Desperate news George. My sympathies to you and your family.  A cliche it may be but at least you know your dad's music will live on long after we're all dead and gone.

George, I have never met you or your father personally, but have seen you both play. I just want to add my condolences at this time. No words can alter the feelings of loss & sadness when a parent dies, even if it is expected. You and your family however are blessed in that as long as there are records/cds dvds etc your Dad is always there, as he once was, at his best doing what he loved;what he was so good at. I'm sure you are fully aware of the strong feelings of love and admiration that he engendered in us Manfans and I hope that you and your family can take comfort in that. Without knowing  it, he played a very big part in supplying the musical soundtrack for a large part of my life and I find myself with tears in my eyes. His passing reminds me at least of the fragility of our lives and the importance of valuing what we have. So, I have an ipod, loaded with MAN albums, but on my walk home tonight it just has to be C'Mon. Remember, as long as we cherish his memory he will never truly die.
My sincerest love and good wishes for you and your family

I've been out all day so just found out.

It's the day I've been dreading, even though it was inevitably close. It's still hit me like a ton of bricks.

George - you know my thoughts are with you and the rest of the family.

I will be playing my favourite Man recording, C'mon from Back Into The Future, as a tribute to the genius that will always be Micky Jones.

God Bless and RIP Micky.
