Old Arcade. My pub of choice when I'm in Cardiff and have managed to convert a few sceptics into lovin' it.

On one memorable occasion - bad (real) joke coming up, two of us ordered the sausage egg and chips and the other ordered the 1/2 chicken.  While waiting for food someone said ' I guess this will answer the old question about which came first, the chicken or the egg?'.

Perhaps you had to be there and while Brains dark is a nice drop, surely SA is the finer ale?

My late (wonderful) ex father in law used to swear by Brains Dark.

But compared to Dark being 'better' than SA, it's like like the adverts that said that Allbright was the most popular pint in Wales.  Statistically possible / probable, but sales are no arbiter of taste e.g. how many albums has Cliff R******s sole compared to Man?

Can we just enjoy both?  Why not.

Is SA better than Tanglefoot?
Is beetroot nicer than ham?

C'mon. Answers on a post card as to where the beetroot / ham question comes from.  Expecting a lot of answers from the BBC Wales catchment area.

Still no answer to the 'is beetroot better than 'am ' question.  A clue - Idris said it with reference to a pub quiz.

Chicken and Balti.  Interesting.  surely it would normally be described as a 'Chicken Balti' pie?
Off to see Macca in June, can I take it that the pie was a Millenium Stadium pie and may be able to make a similar purchase?  Was it a dear pie - no! it was chicken!

Not a Millenium Stadium pie. Don Valley stadium actually. The most depressing place to watch a football match imagineable.

And regarding your dear pie and chicken pie, I phoned the local takeaway and asked if they deliver. They said no, but they do chicken, lamb, beef.........

Satellite City.  Are no boarders boarders familiar with this awesome piece of Welsh culture?  I'd necer heard of Southerdown until I saw this.
