Man Bootleg Vinyl - German LP
« on: August 11, 2010, 07:26:04 PM »
See the attached, mentions two bootleg LP's released in Germany pre 1971.
One must be the double LP 'Live for to Die' also known as 'The Violet Systems 2LP', this was released in two different covers to my knowledge and maybe where the confusion comes in.
Although having said that the press release reports the other as being a single LP.....anybody ever come across this bootleg

Unfortunately not John, but I'd love to read the rest of that album cover  :)

Thinking of getting t'other car for when us 3 go to Ponty on 18th. Mine is great when 1 is driving, s**t off a shovel, but 3 big lads in it, ok 2 big lads and me, won't get up a hill! But I won't let Linds drive mine, and she doesn't want anyway. We'll see!

Can't wait for both gigs, bouncing!!!

Lads. Lads.
You are in danger of turning this thread into a personal chatline. Again.
Anyway, the important thing is to decide what music we will be listening to on the way down and in what format?

Last year both the Single Album and Double album were on Ebay, but well over my budget, round the 200 Euro mark each, there wasnt a lot of info about the Single album.

Which reminds me of a story Mr Heron may remember.

A few years ago, some Sunderland fans were driving down to Bury, were making a compilation tape, and asked for tracks to be nominated. But each track had to be related to the previous track. The first track was a Nirvana song, (can't remember the title). The Mackem instigator of this, mysteriously called BiG, was also manager of the Tygers of Pan Tang, and always had great delight in telling me Man were noodle noodle crap crap music. Hated Man with a pasion. So, I had to get a Man track on this compilation. Put out a SOS on the board, who can think of a connection between Man and Nirvana. Impossible BiG thought, impossible I thought. But Heron flew to the rescue. Nirvana from Seattle, and CDTM recorded in Seattle. Game set and match to Man fans. Scotch Corner, the track I suggested, (obvious reasons if you know the A1), found its way onto the tape, and subsequently in my hands. Thanks again Allan.
Hey Bannon. I can talk a bit can't I? Sheeeesh.... :)

I think following on from Rob's theme we should make a compilation of the groups we are going to see.......going to be a bit difficult getting onto 8 track.....maybe Rob will update his system for the journey to cassette tape............

My wireless still has the Light Wave and Long Wave, and has those buttons you press in to change the station.  It hisses a lot.
Which come to think of it, may not be the radio. May well be from a leak in one of the hoses. Wondered why steam is coming out of the bonnet.
