Hi Chaps

While perusing the wares at vinyl exchange in Manchester, I discovered a Man LP (daughter of the fireplace, romain etc) acetate.  Upon inspection it appeared housed in the standard liberty gatefold sleeve, in quite a tatty condition but the label on the vinyl was the famous beatles Apple logo with a typed 'Man' at the centre of the apple.  The vinyl condition was only VG at best.  Unfortunately it came with a hefty ?180 price tag which was too expensive for my pocket.  Thought i'd let everyone know as it must be a very rare Man item.

Cheers

Was in Manchester today and went to have a look at this item.
Not worth ?180 but what a rarity, so maybe it is to someone. If I had won the lottery maybe...

I must concur Mr Daughton.
A great item but a v expensive pricetag for a piece of vinyl in poor condition.  I must admit, I did email a very low offer to vinyl exchange which did promt a terse negative response.

Nice to see the man name on the famous apple logo.

As I was on an NLP in Management course at the time I used rapport and my legendary negotiating skills to blag some label images for my database.
So here is a little one of side A.

Unfortunately taken under fluorescents with a cheap camera but not too bad.

It's gone. Went over last week to get involved in some delicate negotiations, picked up the advertising sleeve and approached the counter with a look of intent. Only to be told 'sorry mate that ones gone, should have removed that after the sale'
I don't think I would have paid the asking price and glad in a way I wasn't tempted to.

Look at it as though you saved yourself 180 big ones.

For some the glass is half full, to others the glass is half empty.
For me the glass wasn't big enough to start with.
