Now that's what I call a cultural exchange, but I guess you guys had to do some Googling, unlike moi.

What's french for 'duck' Rodney?

No I didn't google it. This phrase is etched permanently in my memory, or more to the point, often on my left breast. It's the motto underneath the Bury FC cub crest :)

Yes. To which is added 'plus domino omnibus velcro' (and the ability to tie knots and start a small fire) once they were old enough to be boy scouts. It's true.

...about time I seen an optician

Sigh. Do you want me to get that?

Wasn't the Apple records motto something like duit tuday?

PS, just in case you hadn't guessed, I didn't really know the Latin stuff.

Arma virumque cano, Troiae qui primus ab oris Italiam,
fato profugus, Laviniaque venit litora,
multum ille et terris iactatus et alto vi superum
saevae memorem Iunonis ob iram; multa quoque
et bello passus, dum conderet urbem,
inferretque deos Latio, genus unde Latinum,
Albanique patres, atque altae moenia Romae.

Musa, mihi causas memora, quo numine laeso,
quidve dolens, regina deum tot volvere casus
insignem pietate virum, tot adire labores impulerit.
Tantaene animis caelestibus irae?

Urbs antiqua fuit, Tyrii tenuere coloni, Karthago,
Italiam contra Tiberinaque longe ostia,
dives opum studiisque asperrima belli;
quam Iuno fertur terris magis omnibus unam
posthabita coluisse Samo; hic illius arma,
hic currus fuit; hoc regnum dea gentibus esse,
si qua fata sinant, iam tum tenditque fovetque.
Progeniem sed enim Troiano a sanguine duci audierat,
Tyrias olim quae verteret arces; hinc populum
late regem belloque superbum venturum
excidio Libyae: sic volvere Parcas.

I'd just like to second that.

Having re-read it I'm not so sure I'd like to second it.  There's a spelling mistake in the first line (Italiam which of course should read Italian which throws the credibility of the whole piece into doubt.

Sorry, screwed up the bold thing.  'm' should be 'n' is all it meant to say.
