Just been watching a clip show.

Andy Parsons said ' welcome to Mordor, twinned with Swansea'.
That is soooooooo unfair on Mordor.

Driving into Pontardulais one day I noticed someone had added "twinned with Trumpton" below the sign saying "Welcome to Pontardulais".
Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

I was once told that one of the signs saying welcome to Sheffield had 'twinned with Jurassic Park' painted on it.

We're twinned with Chantilly. Ohh baby that's what I like.
Nationsounds - the label that brought you Shake The Nation and raised £1,500 in memory of Micky...

Bury is twinned (?) with

Angoul?me, a town and commune in South Western France
Tulle, a small town in the Correze Department. Originally twinned with Prestwich.
Schorndorf, a medieval market town to the east of Stuttgart, capital of Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany.
 Woodbury, New Jersey, United States.
 Datong, China.

@Martin D:

Any Buryan Manfan should visit Schorndorf once in a lifetime, I guess. For a time the band lived there and they were considered a local band. I grew up in that area. Prepare to taste wine and "M?sht" (sort of cider but stronger, oh, a lot stronger!).

Forgive me if I am being a bit slow today but I don't see the connection between Bury and Schorndorf.... ???

Although I live in Bury I'm South Glamorgan through and through... (None of this poncey Vale bollox)

Bury is twinned with schorndorf amongst about a million other places.
Not sure if a native of Bury is a 'Buryan'. Bury-ite I think is the way  forward.

D'oh!!! I even listed the twin towns in the previous post!

I knew I was slow today but that was just dumb.

Isn't there a village called St Buryan in Cornwall?

Following on from the Bury issue, I was born in Canterbury and now live near Epsom. Clearly I was born under the sign of the horse. So it does make sense after all.

Was your Mother going into Lloyds at the time?

No, Mr P. If I remeber correctly, Lloyds was under the sign of the Black Horse. This is a breed only found in the Black Country, which is in the Midlands. Near where Brian & Bernie live.
