Mind yer footprint

With all the current stuff about monitoring power usage, anyone got an answer / suggestion to this?

I have two primary options to listen to the radio (a wireless as some older, or veteran, board members may remember it  ;)) either via a 42" flat screen TV (don't know if it's a plasma or the other kind, but it's the type that gets warm) and Sky, or via the hi-fi which involves an amp and a radio being on.

Any ideas as to which is going to help save the planet the most?

Can't plat the geetar, live on my own so Monopoly would be just that.  Got some books though.  Currently reading Hammer of the Gods (Zep and Echoes (Floyd).

Did I mention that I had tickets for Waters?

Digital radio uses ten times as much power as analogue radio, so assuming you have an old-fashioned hi fi like the rest of us, the hi fi will be a better option for the planet and you than the big screen radio experience! (Cannot understand why anyone thinks digital radio is progress.)

Hit the wrong button earlier, so apologies for duplication if there is any.

I have a 30 year old Pioneer amp and speakers that can disturb the neighbours three door down the road.

I've seen better, but haven't heard better.  Aweosme quality.

Being a considerative neighbour (really) I don't crank it up unless there is a real time of crisis and I need to thrash about my living room to Zep / Manics / Who etc and have a totally wild few minutes.  As the years go buy, I can't do more than a few minutes.  If necessary, I can build myself up into a sweaty and angst free frenzy fairly quickly!!

I love rock and roll...
