well, well, well, here you have another MAN video for you.
Many thanks to John Bannon again and specially to Rob W this time!

Here are the words from TWC number 8 about this program:

"Rock Solid" Harlech TV 1985 (10 minutes)
Performed: "Asylum" and "Even visionaries go blind".
Line-up: Micky Jones, Deke Leonard, Martin Ace and John Weathers.

This show was recorded in front of a live studio audience and transmitted in September 1985. "Asylum", sad to say, is a ragged version with a couple of out of tune parts
"Visionaries" is a little tighter but is taken at breakneck speed -don't tell me these old troupers were nervous!
Not one of Man's best appearances in front of the cameras.

Unusual to se Deke performing without his glasses.

I suspect he wasn't wearing them when he acted as wardrobe consultant for himself and Martin either. Micky on the other hand, is pure sartorial elegance.

Not so sure it was nerves, maybe something to with that woman dancing in front of the stage distracting the lads ;)

The "faster" rendition of songs was not unusual during this period. Most of The Reading Festival CD has the classic songs at a considerably faster speed than we are used to.

LOL:
I'm not sure I would trust Deke with the wardrobe fully spec'd. What is Martin wearing? - he looks like a Bay City Roller who has misplaced the trimmings. It may have been slightly better had he been wearing Doc Martin style Boots rather than trainers.
