I asked about postage to Germany while I was in work today to see if my earlier comment was fair, and a few people said the difference was negligible (or is that an alluring item of lady's nightwear?). Seems like Derricks are twats  IMHO.  So there.

Nice to see Leeds lose to Derby as well.

Hello everyone!

Not sure whether its been mentioned elsewhere but Effigy will be filming the 2 memorial shows for a possible future DVD release.

We will also have some merch there including some previously unreleased stuff featuring Micky. All profits from these will be donated to the Micky Jones Headstone Fund, Awel-YMor Care Centre and the Samantha Dickinson Brain Tumour Trust. So please dig deep for these very worthy causes!

I know George is planning some special collabarations for these concerts with members of the extended manband family and contemporaries / friends from other bands. So these should be great evenings and a chance to celebrate Mickys life, music and acheivements.
Hope to see you all there.

Love and peace...

I didn't know who Samantha Dickson was.  Still don't know what the link between her and Micky is, but here's her story for those who don't know about her.  So sad.

Looks like my tickets have to have a UK address (or Somewhere near Swansea is preferable) so I have told them to sendthem my parents who will send them here at Great Expense because its further away from Swansea

So then, let's take the 3rd Sept gig first. Are we arranging a meet?

Looking at various reviews, I'd suggest :-

Pink Geranium pub  ("the busiest pub in Pontardawe. Live Music every friday and Saturday, it gets packed so make sure your in before 10.45 or the doors will be closed. Brilliant crowd suited to the over 25's every single drink under the sun and Stuart the landlord prides himself on his cask ales. Well worth a visit ")

then

curry at the Indian Cottage (" Indian Cottage in Pontardawe is an institution rather than a restaurant! It has been going for more than 30 years, and has always been a sound, good quality and friendly restaurant for more than two generations of diners.")

These are quotes from reviews.

Both are on Herbert Street, which coincidentally, is where the Arts Centre is........... Unbelievable.

Say from 5.00pm?

Tuckmeister.... I owe you a gallon's worth  :)  :)

Totally agree with the Indian Cottage.

The Pink is... handy for the venue. May be better than it was.

Thanks for pointing that out Rob, yep, 18th it is..

Once turned up on a saturday afternoon to watch Northampton play Gloucester, only to find it had been played on friday night.
A mate of mine went to see Luton play at Northampton FC, saw a crowd and floodlights and got in the queue, when he got into the ground, couldn't work out why the goalposts were taller than usual, and didn't have any nets..

Me 'n' JB at Celtic Lodge on 3rd. And you're there on the 18th?  You know that bit in Deke's book where he talks about sleeping in a room at Hamburg, and on the wall is some phlegm stain (we call it gob here)............  :P

If Pete T can cope with ramblings of the non-email type (I'm told they make more sense of line), me and a mate will be there!

Sorry, that should have included "on the 18th".

Just been paid what surely has to be the ultimate comment after giving some early gig information - " Mike you are the John Peel of..."

No one can be, but certainly not me.  No one could.  But to be compared to the great man...

...or in Welsh, Gobowen.
