Have you qualified for Scotland through residence, then, Pete? I know they're desperate for young talent, but...  ;D

Sorry, I'll re-phrase that.. Two of the invading sassenachs will be returning south for the weekend, one to her homeland, while the other invades the small western principality..

Nik Turner will be making a guest appearence at both shows as well as John Mckenzie who will hopefully join us on the 18th.

Their will be a merch stall with lots of goodies, including rare prints/posters, t-shirts and an auction of some of Micky's items including the Jacket worn on The Bananas Marquee Video.

More news as it comes.

My boss came in this afternoon and asked if I could attend a meeting in Oxford on 20th September! No problem at all I said....

So, there may be an attendee from Norway on 18th...

I will bring a selection of Dandelion seed with me!

A specially commisioned T-shirt for the day(s) should be a good fundraiser, "fat-bastard", and "I can't believe you can eat that much" sizes should suffice..!! (translates to XL and XXL for the Ageing Journo ::))

Micky Jones Memorial Gigs

Tickets will be avaliable soon from Derricks/Ticket Wales (standing Tickets) and The Ponterdwe arts center(Balcony/seated tickets).

http://www.derricksmusic.co.uk/tickets.php
http://www.neath-porttalbot.gov.uk/default.aspx?page=1678&lang=en

Tickets ?12.50 adv / or ?15 on the door

Special Deal, tickets for both Shows ?20, booking fees not included.

Tickets available from Ponterdawe Arts Center and Derricks Records, Swansea

I went direct to the Pontardawe Booking Office by phone (open afternoons only) and spoke to a human being. I booked seats upstairs, but was told that gets you access to the downstairs standing area too. I believe that they do sell standing tickets as well, contrary to previous information. No booking fee, and only 50p extra to post all tickets out (which arrived a couple of days later). Splendid.

I went to pontadawe booking office and spoke to a human. Was not told that these gave access to downstairs as well.
I then went to Derricks, a real record shop that deals with customers and supplies a legendary service. Bought two tickets with a ?2.50 booking fee each, and ?1 postage. About 10 days ago, and still not arrived yet. There's service for you.. :-\

I wondered about the 'giving access to downstairs' bit.  It's a fairly small venue and if everyone from the balcony came down stairs, it could be quite overcrowded and possibly dangerous (dangerous are not related to Australian marsupials who can be trained to box).  Mind if you know Ponty...
