PS on the hotel website, on the 'Rooms' section, picture of a four poster bed. I wondered why John wanted to share a room. Not blinkin' likely  ;)

Tickets booked today......why after all this time are you getting fussy about who you sleep with?????

Hi MBB, I've left the accomodation to Rob...knowing him and his eye for a bargain....it will be squalid.

Squalid! Ponty doesn't do squalid.  It dreams of being squalid.

Only reason I asked is the '15 minute walk' statement.  The Dillwyn is somewhere that if you had a decent cold you could spit as far as the centre.  The Penyrallt could be 15 minutes away if you put a bit of effort in on the way down, but would probably need about three hours to walk back to as it's all uphill and steep!

Planty of local cab firms around to get you back if you are in the Penyrallt (Penyrallt loosely translated = top of the hill.  Says it all really!).  Nice pub.

If you want a bit of history to stun the locals with, look up Gwenallt who was a local poetic icon, but has long gone from this earth.

The board reckons five question marks is a sign of incipient senility, so to preserve the poster's dignity it converts three of them to a smilie.

???

Well I've never slept with him.

I snore like a bear. Nobody ever sleeps with me.

Haven't heard of the Celtic lodge.  Is that some sort of Leeds Utd based Glaswegian tactic?

Click 'The Rooms' and you'll see the 4 poster Me and Bannon have our eyes on. (Not together of course). Knowing my luck, he'll get that, and I'll end up 'on a blanket of sawdust and a pillow made out of hay'. Now is that a lyric perhaps?

OK. Know roughly where you are from the photo.  It may have been called the Butchers fairly recently and had a decent reputation.  I think it has beaten 'squalid by quite a distance', but is still a bit of a bugger to walk back to.  Not sure if all the walk has pavements.  Prob ?3 or ?4 for a cab which is more than likely worthwhile each way.

Oi, that's a bit ironic saying that to me. You'll have to whistle for the 15 million pints of best ever bitter I owe you.

Anyway, the Green Ray CD's are rubbish. And the Help Yourself CD is even worse.

Whaddya mean they're never off the cd player?
