Hmmm... it didn't recognise my userid until I requested it send me a new password... changed the theme as well.

The price of progress. All seems well now though.

Apologies for any disruption. I am indeed fiddling. Just forgot to press the "Don't disturb the natives" button.

I did change the default theme setting, but don't think anything would have reset any passwords.

Do let me know if anything goes tits up.
Boldly going.......

No problem. I seem to recall I has similar problems when the old board migrated to SMF, and I suspected at the time it was down to a space in the userid.

I could be wrong. It has been known.

Just forgot to press the "Don't disturb the natives" button.

In the light of subsequent replies, clearly a mistake.

Having said that, I always need to re-type my password before it would let me in, even before the recent fiddle. Mind you, that's probably my fault. Global Warming? That's me. World Wide Recession? Yep. The inability of one set of people to get on with another set, particularly with a smattering of religious fervour? Of course, although I'm not sure how. Military action in the Twenty First Century? Yes, I will be done.

Anybody ready to rumble? Bearing in mind you'd win?

At the risk of offending Jules, what are the improvements?

I'm ready to rumble, but once I've had food I should be ok.

No offence taken. There are no improvements yet I'm afraid. I was dry running a potential upgrade to the next version of the forum software. This caused a few undocumented side effects, primarily on the default Theme. You may not have been affected if you use a different theme on your profile.

The dry run went very well otherwise.

Any volunteers for beta testing?

Me too. Passwords are secured with a translation algorithm, but for some reason this doesn't work if you ask Windows to remember your password.

I haven't tried that with SMF v2 yet. Will give it a go. More fiddling.

Passwords are secured with a translation algorithm...

Is that the one that's got 15 beats with an emphasis on the 4 and 9?

Any volunteers for beta testing?

Yes, provided I don't have to understand what the feck you're talking about.

No, of course not. That would be a syncopation algorhythm.
